STEP 1: Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool
To go about the process, you have to uninstall your current Symantec antivirus and then proceed to run the Remove and Reinstall tool.
- Download the Remove and Reinstall tool.
- To run the file, double-click on the NRnR icon.
- Proceed to read the license agreement, and tap Agree.
- Go to Advanced Options and click Remove Only.
- Again, select Remove and then Restart Now.
After your device computer restarts, follow on-screen instructions to reinstall the application.
STEP 2: Uninstall all non-Symantec Antivirus Products, if any.
- Press Windows and R keys simultaneously to open the Run box.
- Type appwiz.cpl and press Enter.
- In front of you, a list will appear of currently installed programs, select all the non-Symantec security product, proceed by clicking Uninstall or Remove.
- Again, follow as the screen instructs.
- After the uninstalling process completes, restart your computer again.
STEP 3: Update Video graphics driver
- Open Run by clicking Windows + R keys together.
- Type devmgmt.msc and press on the Enter key.
- Go to Device Manager and double-click on Display adapters.
- Go to HD graphics card and right click on it, and select Properties from the menu.
- Check if the graphics card driver is outdated on the Driver tab.
- If it is updated, then ignore the process, if not, you need to update the download and install the latest version of the graphics card driver.
- After installing the latest graphics card driver, restart your PC.
